Claims and Network Access Assistance

Bucknell University's Faculty and Staff Health Plan has a dedicated customer service team that can assist members with coverage questions and claims issues. They can also help find network physicians (especially if you are going outside the Geisinger service area and would like to find doctors participating in the PHCS or Multiplan networks). If needed, they can contact PHCS/Multiplan providers to make sure they know how to submit claims appropriately so you have a smoother claims process when outside the Geisinger service area.

Please remember that cost is only one consideration when choosing where to receive services.

  1. You can go to www.geisinger.org/health-plan and find out hospital quality information on volume, complications, safety, patient experience, and other measures for common procedures.
  2. Log into the secured Member portal, and choose “HEALTH & WELLNESS”.
  3. Select "Physician Quality Summary" and then select “Hospitals” in the search.
  4. Fill in the search parameters, and you’ll be taken to the Hospital Quality Comparison.
  5. You can choose a common procedure and compare hospitals within the selected radius, to see which have the most favorable quality metrics. 

If you are looking for estimated costs for Covered Drugs 

  • Select “Prescription Drug Information” under “MY HEALTH PLAN” in order to find pharmacies, and the costs of certain drugs at participating pharmacies.
