Survey Stage: Three surveys designed to probe faculty experiences in recruitment, retention, and pathways towards advancement. 

  • Participants who complete all three surveys will be entered for a drawing of one of three iPADs. (Recipients are subject to tax withholding per IRS regulation.)
  • Survey 1: Recruitment: Nov. 1 through Dec. 6, 2021
  • Survey 2: Retention: Feb. 3 through Mar. 21, 2022
  • Survey 3: Pathways toward Advancement: Oct. 2022 through Dec. 31, 2022

  • Focus Group Studies on Emergent Issues: Informed by the results from the surveys, we will run small focused group interviews to gain deeper understanding in the lived experiences of STEM faculty members in targeted groups. Please sign up for participation via this form. (fall 2023)
  • Formulating Actions: Throughout the project, the progress will be shared with the Bucknell community through this website. We will also meet with the university stakeholders and faculty representatives to develop a set of actionable items based on our self-study results.
