Effective study groups have been demonstrated to provide meaningful and efficient mechanisms for learning. Formal groups of eight to 12 students led by trained peer facilitators are available for many introductory courses. The groups generally meet for 90 minutes each week throughout the semester.
The TLC tutoring program offers one-on-one peer support for biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Any student registered in a course covered by the program is eligible to schedule multiple sessions per week with a trained peer tutor. These services are free of charge for students.
If you have any questions about scheduling, or experience any difficulties, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
The TLC hires students to be study group facilitators as well as individual tutors for select courses and subjects. To join our staff, students must either be nominated by or have a recommendation from at least one professor in the relevant content area.
